Health & Safety Notice to Our Customers

What we are doing to safeguard the health & safety of our valued customers & employees:

  • Enhanced cleaning practices: increased frequency of store cleaning, including frequently touched areas such as front counters, point of sale equipment, door handles, wagons, and restrooms. We will try to keep hand sanitizer on hand at the registers. Also, as it gets warmer, we will try to keep all doors open during shopping hours, minimizing the necessity to touch handles. *Attention: ultimately, it is the responsibility of each individual to take care of their own health and be vigilant for themselves and their families. We try to make customers feel comfortable but we are limited on the extent we can go in this matter. It's up to you to keep yourself safe, just like it's up to us to keep ourselves safe/healthy. We do not REQUIRE employees to wear masks or gloves, but any employee who is concerned is free to take the steps they need to to stay healthy.*

  • Employees: If an employee is suspected of having Covid-19 based on symptoms or known exposure, they will be sent for medical care and to self-isolate at home. Employees are required to stay home if they aren't feeling well and/or have a fever.

  • *Change* to New shopping experience: As you all know, we do not offer online shopping through our website like many other retailers. We understand that it's important for many people to stay as isolated as possible right now, which is why we offered curbside pickup this spring. We have phased out the process of email orders/purchase requests to We no longer offer this service as of June 1st. We request that any customers who feel too nervous about being out in public to get a neighbor or family member to shop for them. We also still offer delivery services to those who live close by. Please do not submit orders on the website. That inbox is not for orders. We continue to offer good old-fashioned in-store shopping for everyone who wants to come. Please see our policies above. We appreciate you all so much, and we've been overwhelmed with all the community support of our family business. Alas, we've been so busy (and too low on employees) to make email ordering work long term.  Of course, we are flexible, and are willing to make exceptions for those with exceptionally difficult circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Feed Customers: Our feed suppliers have informed us they will continue operating as usual and will continue filling our orders. As of now, there is no need to "over-buy" feed. We will continue to keep it in stock for you. We will let you know if anything changes.
